We are happy to invite you to a heartfelt summer gathering, where songs and dances will guide us toward the magic of the solstice.

On this special evening:

you’ll hear both well-known and lesser-known choral songs,
have the chance to join in with the familiar “Līgo, līgo” refrain,
and enjoy the beauty of traditional Latvian folk dances.

On 26 April 26 at 4:00 PM at Sēļi Manor, together with the Mazsalaca Cultural Center folklore group "Sēlene" and the folk music group "Sēļu muižas muzikanti," we will perform at the 73rd birthday concert of the Valmiera Cultural Center men's choir "Imanta" titled "Through Singing Comes Refreshment."

The men's choir "Imanta" is the oldest men's choir in Vidzeme, and its birthday concerts have become a special tradition, inviting various guest artists every year.

This will not be our first meeting with the men of Imanta – we have previously met at concerts both at our home in Katlakalns and in Valmiera, and have performed together at our friends' place in Krimulda Cultural House, so we eagerly await the reunion at Sēļi Manor.

The concert program with songs and musical performances will create a truly unforgettable birthday atmosphere, so we invite you to celebrate the men's choir "Imanta" birthday together on April 26! 🎂

We will participate at the competition "Riga sings"

From April 3-7, we will participate in the 3rd International Choir Competition "Riga sings" and Imants Kokars Choral Award, which will once again take place in Riga after a short break.

The competition will be opened on April 3 at the cultural center "Ziemeļblāzma", and from April 4-7, participants will perform in various categories at different venues in Riga.

Adult choirs in category B, where we are also participating, will take the stage at the the Small Guild Hall on April 5.

The culmination of this event will be the final competition on April 6, which will take place among the category winners for the prestigious Imants Kokars Choral Award.

This year, the competition organized by INTERKULTUR, the world's leading organizer of international choir competitions and festivals, and the Riga City Municipality institution "Northern Riga Cultural Association", will welcome 38 choirs from 12 countries.
